Soundboard Spruce is a wood best known for its resonance, strength and sound transmission quality. All Silbermann pianos use SOLID SPRUCE for its soundboard. Spruce used in Silbermann pianos come from temperate countries where air humidity is low. The soundboard is carefully tapered, so that it is thinner at the edges. This ensures that the soundboard can vibrate properly once it is glued to the piano's inner rim. |
